Challenging to create a new form of expression by using the traditional foil craft technique from his family business of Kyoto Nishijin, Takuro NOGUCHI has been appearing on international stages such as in art fairs in Korea and Singapore and NHK TV programme towards overseas.
He continues to express a "Beauty" in which a viewer can see the light of hope through his works such as <Landscape> series, works with fireworks motif, a sea and a sky, a dawn and a starry sky.
Following his first solo exhibition in 2012, we are exhibiting 12 works, including large masterpiece from <Landscape> series in this second solo exhibition.

Takuro NOGUCHI (1975-)
Born 1975 in Kyoto, Japan. Graduated oil painting course at Kyoto University of Art and Design in 1993. Worked as an assistant for photographer Shomei Tomatsu in 2000 to 2001. As the 5th generation of foil craftsman in Nishijin, Kyoto, he went back to his birthplace in 2001 for the preparation of succeeding the family business, and also started his career as a hakuga artist (Original term made by Noguchi. It is a style of painting which uses lacquer and foil). He was awarded Grand Prix of Amuse Artist Audition in Kyoto in 2002. Exhibited in the 29th Grand Prix of The UENO Royal Museum Exhibition in 2011. He has been taking part in many exhibitions, both personal and group since his first personal exhibition in 2004.
