Q-Ei (1911-1960), who founded the "Democratic Artists Association" to rebel against the exsisting art world and acquired unparalleled color expression by pointillism, and ONOSATO Toshinobu (1912-1986) who consistently pursued abstract expression with circles, was a lifelong ally. TAKIGUCHI Shuzo (1903-1979), an art critic and poet who supported the two of them from an early stage, developed his own expressions such as decalcomania as an artist himself. In this exhibition, we exhibit the works of three artists who led Japanese modern art before and after the war.
