For four days only, we will present a special exhibition featuring the ISOZAKI Arata prints.
In 1976, we, the Gendai Hanga Center, offered ourselves as the publisher and visited Isozaki’s atelier in Kagurazaka for the first time.
His first work, the “Villa“ series, and the large-scale piece “Museum as a Hollow”, were created in 1977.
Since then, for over forty years, we have proudly served as the publisher, witnessing the birth and development of Isozaki’s prints.
Just the editions from the Gendai Hanga Center and Toki-no-Wasuremono already exceed 250 works.
This exhibition features Isozaki’s silkscreens, etchings, woodblock prints, and posters.
The exhibition “Arata Isozki: Archipelogos of Architecture” currently on view at Art Tower Mito until January 25, 2026,
presenting many silkscreens from our editions and etc. printed by printer Ryoichi Ishida. We highly recommend to visit.
